Saturday, April 29, 2017, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 P.m.

This one-day workshop-based event will equip you with basic skills to help you read your bible with understanding and to explain the Bible in ways that others will understand, too. Together, we will learn how to break-down a passage, interpret it in context, identify major themes, and communicate them clearly. Whether you want to improve your personal Bible study skills, know how to explain the Bible to your children, or are thinking about leading a Bible Study, we want to give you the right tools to be a woman rooted in God's Word. We hope you will join us!

FAQs

WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR?

This event is for Christian women who want to sharpen their Bible study and Bible teaching skills. Women of all ages and all stages of life are welcome to join.

I’M NOT A BIBLE “TEACHER.” WILL THIS APPLY TO ME?

We believe that every woman is a teacher. Whether you teach your children, teach those around you, or teach yourself the Scriptures, it is important for you to know how to do it well. This workshop isn’t just for women who want to lead Bible studies, but women who want to learn basic skills of understanding and explaining the Biblical Text. Have you ever felt like you’re skimming the surface of your Bible reading, but aren’t sure how to go deeper? Have you ever tried to explain a passage of Scripture to your kids, but felt a little bit lost? Have you ever thought about leading a Bible study, but aren’t sure where to start? Then this conference is for you.

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND RIVER CHURCH TO ATTEND?

This seminar is open to all women. If you want to attend a Take Root seminar, then we want you there. After all, we’re all sisters in the faith – regardless of denomination or church affiliation.
