We created and launched River Institute to help equip you to grow in your faith through one night intensive seminars. This allows us to go a little deeper once a month. We want River Church to grow in spiritual maturity. Come on the journey with an open heart and mind for the Holy Spirit to move in your life. We will provide the materials you can reference in your future study. We pray you leave encouraged and changed. We meet once a month on Wednesday Nights, September through April from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Come ready for a fast-paced, but practical study.

The Purpose and Power of Prayer

John Wesley once said, “God does nothing but by prayer, and everything in it.” We’ve all heard it said that “prayer works” and that prayer is essential to a strong faith. This session will discuss the biblical mandate for prayer, demonstrate examples for the effectiveness of prayer, and defend the role of prayer as vital for Christians and the work of God.
