What Should i expect?

Our service at 10:00 a.m. includes singing and Bible teaching. Our singing is an act of worship to God; feel free to sit, stand, or dance. This is followed by a practical 30 minute message that is life-giving.

You'll see everything from jeans to suits. River Church is for everyone!

If you have children (from birth to 6th grade), they can participate in our fun and safe Children's Ministry during the service.

Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in our family room. Come early or stay late to enjoy fellowship with others.

Love God. Love People. Make Followers of Jesus.

Our three-step process is designed to help people navigate the stages of spiritual growth.

At River Church, people are transformed as they experience and contribute to three dynamic steps of discipleship.

Family: Jamie (Wife), Harry, Ollie, and Finn

Background: I have been involved in pastoral ministry for the better part of the last decade in churches throughout Northern and Central Colorado. A native to Colorado, I started leading worship in my hometown of Loveland as a worship intern. From there, God has placed me in some amazing church communities to grow, learn, and shepherd those around me. When I’m not leading or playing a gig somewhere, you’ll most likely find me cruising around on my motorcycle, fishing, or out and about with the fam!

core values

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, these core values bring clarity to the things that matter most at River Church. They guide how we achieve our vision, influencing major leadership decisions, as well as everyday ministry plans. They even help us navigate staffing and budget issues. In short, they keep us focused on the unique call God has given us as a local church.

Worship is a lifestyle, not just a church service!

Discipleship is to become more like Jesus.

Teaching is for encouragement, challenge and life change.

We need to grow larger and smaller at the same time.

There is a place for everyone to volunteer on a ministry team.

We change methods, but never the message.

While all families are different, all families can be spiritually strengthened.

the poor matter to God, so they matter to us.

We are a family expecting guests.

Every person matters to God.

Our beliefs

The Bible is God's word to all people. It was written by human authors under supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has externally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God, called the "Trinity".

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. Christians seek to live under his control daily.

Man and Woman are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like him in character. He is the supreme object of God's creation. Although man and woman have tremendous potential for good, they are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin". This attitude separates humans from God.

Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ, as God's offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God places a person in Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in a place called Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence forever.
